EARTHWISE VENTURES Launching a new venture studio from scratch
Our task was to create a brand that perfectly aligned with the founder and their work. Earthwise helps family businesses and start-ups take their next step. At the heart of the enterprise is a team of story-driven entrepreneurs with a collaborative approach.
To build this brand from scratch, we needed to understand what a venture studio is. We're all familiar with venture capital firms. So how do we bring to life a brand that isn't capitalistically focused? By examining the fundamentals: their mission and core values. The key is aligning the branding with these values.
The mark represents the journey of the earth and growth combined bringing the world of business and planet earth i.e. nature and the journey for a better planet together. earthwise is all about equality, not a single person is more important than the other. The storytelling around earthwise is straightforward. No-one is more important than the other, therefor it’s important to reflect this in the wordmark. To highlight this we don’t use capitals in the wordmark, to reflect the message of earthwise.






Gradients and nature share a seamless, inherent synergy. To ground the 'Earthwise' brand in its environmental roots, we leveraged organic, textured gradients. Rather than keeping them purely abstract, we combined these fluid color transitions with forms reminiscent of ocean waves and a morning sunrise. As seen in the designs below, this creates a dynamic visual language that feels both cutting-edge and distinctly natural.
The earthwise identity is designed for seamless application across all physical and digital spaces—from OOH posters to Instagram posts and coffee cups. This striking aesthetic not only captures attention but reinforces the brand's core mission: inspiring people to build better businesses when surrounded by good company
Initially, the vision for this project was a highly immersive digital experience, featuring dynamic scroll animations centered around the brand's core gradients. Through an iterative collaborative process, the concept evolved significantly to align with the client’s specific requirements. While the final result departs from our original aesthetic direction, it successfully delivers on the client's unique needs and objectives, which remains our highest priority.
